The Patriotic Furry

TL;DR Furries are going to be a Fad soon. We need a Government to speak for us and make us stand out.

It is of my firm belief that Furries as a people, as a culture, as a phenomenon, have a destiny in this world. This destiny is of greatness and merit. We are a brotherhood; a tribe. A people of peace and plenty. 31 years old with thoughts as bold as thoughts can be. But what has all this progress been for? What direction is our society going in which to make all the past 31 years of sacrefice worth the peace and pleanty of our people. what is the next step in the evolution of our culture?

I sense we are on the verge of becoming a global phenomenon. More so than we already are. Up until this point we have been a secluded people living our lives quietly, opening up only to fight for our right to exist. The years under Kage have seen to it that we remain an isolationist society with closed doors to the world with strict limited exposure to the press, and the most of us have seen this as a satisfactory course. But the tides are changing.

The world is about to burst through our doors and make us public and not even Kage can stop it. We see glimpses of ourselves in television, movies, commercials, books, and all kinds of media. The world that was once ours is about to be pried open and taken from us and turned into a mainstream pop fad. Everyone will want to be a Furry. Everyone will want to be a piece of us. We will have gone from social pariah to media icon. And there is nothing we can do about it. Within this decade we will be the cat’s meow. So what do we do? What is our course of action? 

It’s time for a new administration. One that can change with the tides. Our course needs to be an inclusive one. Blow our doors open to the world before the world blows them open on us. Be loud and proud and wave our flag in the streets. We also need to be inclusive of all those fad Furries who will be in the surf, not cast them away and declare them undesirables. 

Our Fandom, our way of life is about to face it’s toughest challenge. Even greater than the Furry civil war. Even greater than the war with Anonymous. A testament to our courage and our self determination. Infact that is the key to our survival as more than a fad. We need to set the course of our civilization before it gets set for us. Before we become a used up fad. We need Government.

As extreme as it may sound we need a centralized body to speak for Furry kind. It doesn’t have to be flashy. Is does have to be formal. It’s come time to take Furry to the next level.

We must organize ourselves into a body that the world can respect. Something to see us through the coming wave of the fads. It must be an organization on a local and global scale. It must be a tiered elected body of representitives. Furries must band together and organize their local furmeets into chapters for their region, headed by one representing Furry. That Furry will then meet with the other elected head Furries of their local region to pick a larger representitive. One that will be responsible for the Furries of that entire country, having many many Furries under him. These Furries responsible for their country will meet with the other Furry heads of countries and talk and discuss problems and how best to cure them. How best to address the public, and most importantly how to best speak for the fandom.

With this body in place we can ride out the storm of pop culture and survive as something worthy of being bigger than some advertising ploy. Revolution and Constitution need to be the words on everyfur’s eyes, ears, and lips in the coming years. This concept has the power to save this Fandom and our way of life. It allows us to stand out as something more than a fad. It says we are a people of the world. A culture. A tribe, and every tribe deserves the chance at Nation.
